Our Bands

Marching Band:
The Mason Bulldog Marching Band performs at home football games and community events.  The marching band holds a four-day camp in the summer at Adrian College to prepare for the season.  All band members are scheduled into 5th hour band to rehearse together daily during the first trimester of the year.  The marching band travels together to Toronto, Cleveland, Washington D.C. and Mackinaw in a rotation.

Concert Band/Symphonic Band/Wind Ensemble:

The Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble are scheduled within the school day and share the same performance schedule during the second and third trimesters of the year.  Concerts are performed in December, February and May.  Each band performs at M.S.B.O.A. District Band Festival.  An opportunity to perform at the Solo and Ensemble Festival is available to all students.

Students also have the option to perform in the following bands as well:
Jazz Band: Rehearses November through May and performs at concerts and Festivals.

Santa Band: Performs for the community before the Light Parade on Thanksgiving weekend.

Pep Band: performs at select basketball games at Mason High School.

The 4th of July Band: Performs in the Mason 4th of July Parade while riding on hay wagons.
